Independence Day

The 15th august is the most important day in the history of India.
This day was celebrated with great zeal every year in our school. This year celebration was scheduled on 13th August at 09.00 am in the hall.
Classes IX and X students came up with different programmes depicting freedom struggles and instilling patriotism in us.
A patriotic song was sung to mark the beginning of the celebration.
A Role play was conducted by class IX and X, which turned out to be an inspiring one with many great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawahralal Nehru, Sarojini Naidu, B.R. Ambedkar, Bhagat Singh, Rani Kakshmi Bhai, Annie Beasant being enacted on stage who gave inspiring talks, envisioning modern India.
A group dance conveying the theme of Nationalist feeling was performed by students which attained huge applauses from the gathering.
A skit on the Revolutionary leader Chandrashekhar Azad was well executed on the stage which emotionally stroked the audience.
This day always reminds us of the untold sacrifices of the fighters of freedom. We should worship those patriots who shed their blood for achieving Freedom.
